All in a Day’s work

It was an honour and a privilege to have an official visit from The Mayor of Dacorum and his wife.

As supporters of the Mayor’s charity, we were thrilled to receive a request from the Mayor’s office asking for a date on which ‘Bob and Wendy’ as they are known to friends could come and see us.

The time of their arrival approached and the office and showroom were looking suitably tidy. The mayoral car was due to arrive at 11.30am but at 11.25am we were surprised to see an old vintage Zodiac Police car turn up. We hadn’t been informed that just around the corner in Church Lane they were filming for an episode of Endeavour.

The Mayor was thrilled to be able to meet two of the cast of one of his favourite television programmes before joining us for lunch at the Gatsby.
