The Sparkle and Glitter Ball

All that ‘glitters’ is not gold. That was certainly true at Ashridge House last Friday night. From the sparkling champagne, to the scintillating firework display, the Glitterati of Berkhamsted and beyond came together to celebrate the 40^th Anniversary of The Hospice of St Francis. Friends and volunteers, staff, trustees and supporters all enjoyed a wonderful event.

The Diamond Trust was pleased to be a joint sponsor of the ball along with some of our fellow corporate partners. We also created a fund-raising activity in the form of an opportunity to win a diamond. 100 stones were displayed in separate boxes. Only one represented a real diamond. Guests could pick a numbered box and the winner was announced after dinner. The prize also included a £500 voucher towards the cost of setting the diamond into a design of the winner’s choice. This contributed £2,500 to the total achieved on the night which was in excess of £32,000.
