We brought the sparkle to our Christmas Party!
All the right ingredients for a successful celebration were evident at our Christmas Party last weekend.
A warm welcome in front of a glowing log fire, gentle background seasonal music from Jeanette Cordery, our harpist, Christmas decorations and a huge tree enhancing the atmosphere and a constant supply of sparkling wine were just the beginning.
Back by popular demand were the choir from Ashley Green whose performance of Christmas carols was a treat in itself. Guests were astounded by the display of magic by TEJ whose skill still leaves us amazed.
The giant Scalextric layout was more than a side-show. A prize of a spa day for two, donated by Champneys, brought out a fierce competitive spirit while at the same time we were able to raise £800 for The Peace Hospice in Watford.
Champneys excelled themselves with a delicious hot buffet and tasty desserts with coffee. All of which were the perfect accompaniment to the delightful display of diamonds and gems.
Partnerships and Philanthropy Manager Joanna Milton says: It was a pleasure to join the Diamond Trust at their Christmas event and speak to so many new people about our charity’s work. The giant Scalextric set was a really novel way for guests to have fun, and thanks to everyone’s generosity £800 was raised for Peace Hospice Care.
Our exhibitions are a way of saying thank you to both our new and our regular customers and providing an opportunity for them to bring along a friend.
